Fund Raising

To fund the help we offer the community, we organise a number of fund raising activities throughout the year. Details are available from the sub-menu on the left. If you are interested in taking part in any of the activities, please respond to the named individuals on the event specific pages or by using the "Contact Us" form from the main menu.

Christmas collections

Although hard work, these are a vital part of our fundraising which help to boost our ability to bring a little cheer to those in straitened circumstances over the festive season.

OUR OTHER EVENTS

We also have an annual Swimathon. We are always looking for new events to develop and deliver, and have previously had a barn dance and quiz nights. Any new event will be on the Events Calendar in due course if they are not there already.

All these events require manpower which is in short supply. However they are fun to organise and it is a meaningful use of time. Anyone wishing to help or even better wanting to join our organisation will always be most welcome.

For some years The Lions Club of Basingstoke have been presenting entertainment at local venues as a major fundraiser to help good causes in the immediate vicinity and beyond. A large audience has been established over time reflecting the popularity of the type of light entertainment provided and the low price charged for a good night out. See below or our Events Calendar. All proceeds go to deserving causes in the locality as identified by the Welfare Committee of The Lions Club.
